Yogurt Pound Cake

 

First Step: Take,

      2 cups of sugar

      5 egg yolks

      1 cup unsalted butter

      Mix the above three ingredients and beat until light and fluffy.

Second Step: Add the following to the above mixture.

     3 cups of flour

     1 tablespoon of baking powder

      1 cup of yogurt

      1 tablespoon vanilla extract

 

Third Step:  Separately beat 5 egg whites in a bowl.

 

Fourth Step: Fold the egg yolks from step three into mixture made in step two. 

 

Fifth Step: Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 90 minutes.

 

Determine if it is done by inserting a tooth pick into the cake.  It is done when the tooth pick comes out clean
