Banana Nut Bread
• 1/4 cup butter | • 1 teasspoon Vanilla |
• 1/2 cup sugar | • 1 & 1/2 cups sifted flour |
• 1 egg | • 2 teaspoons baking powder |
• 1 cup Carnation Instant Wheat | • 1/2 teaspoon salt |
• 1 & 1/2cups ( 4 or 5) mashed ripe bananas | • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda |
• 1/2 cup Chopped nuts |
1) Blend butter, sugar and egg until light and fluffy.
2) Stir in Carnation Instant Wheatm mashed bananas and vanilla.
3) Mix Well.
4) Stir dry ingredients together, then add to butter-sugar mixture.
5) Stir in nuts.
6) Pour the batter into a paper-lined loaf pan (9x5x3).
7) Bake in a moderate overn (350 degrees) for about an hour.
8) Allow the Banana Nut Brad to cool before removing from pan.
9) Store for 24 hours for easy slicing.
An option:
Double the recipe:
but decrease oatmeal to 1 cup and
add a large cup of blueberries
also add melted butter
