Bugs on outside wall of our house
They are:
Western Box-elder bugs
( Rhopalidae Boisea rubrolineata)
info in email from:

These are Western Box-elder bugs, a native species.
They are not harmful. They feed on box-elder trees, maples,
and sometimes ash. They are typically noticed because they overwinter in
large groups in sheltered areas, including houses. In the spring they
emerge again in large numbers, sometimes showing up inside homes as
they try to find their way outside. We don't recommend spraying or
trying to control them. Just sweep them up and put them outside.
You can hose them off the outside of your home, but they will return.
It will happen again next year, too.
