“Every person must obey the leaders of the land....... It is right for you to pay taxes because the leaders of the land are servants for God who care for these things. Romans 13:1-7
They asked: Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not? ... So he told them, “Then give back to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
Luke 20:19-26

....Whose picture is on the coin? And whose name is written on it?” They answered, “It is Caesar’s picture and Caesar’s name.” Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.
Mark 12:14-17
A man had two sons. He told them to go and work in the Vineyaar. the first said no. The second said yes, but he did not go. Jesus said to them: “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you." Matthew 21:28-32

Luke 10 makes and important point in the discussion of welfare funding:
The Good Samaritan cared for the victim of highway robbers, asking no questions.
Did the victim fight back?
Did he foolishly travel a route along
which thieves operated?
Did he flaunt wealth,
so as to attract robbery?
Who knows? The Good Samaritan just helped someone in need.
How does this compare to the new trend of only giving welfare to able bodied people who are working.
