Trappist Abbey
Carlton, OR







The first part of the hike
was through an Oak Savana

through a delightful forest

Directions to the abbey

1) Take Hwy 99 to Newberg
2) Turn right on Main St i.e. Hwy 240 like you are going to Carlton
3) After 0.3 miles go slight left on Illinois St (it is still Hwy 240)
4) Go 5.7 miles on Illinois St. (Hwy 240)
5) go left on Kuehne Rd and go for 1.9 miles
6) Go left on Abbey Road and go for 1.0 miles
7) Abbey will be on your left

7:15 AM LAUDA followed by breakfast
9:15 AM MASS
12:30 PM Day Hour Angelus
12:50 PM Dinner (after Angelus bells)
5:50 PM Vespers - Benediction
6:00 PM Supper
7:30 PM Compline - Angelus
