Barlow Road to Timberline Lodge 8/25/15
Twelve miles round trip 1800 feet elevation
-- Half of the group did a one way six mile hike --

Note one wimpy old man, initals EG, started on the 12 mile
round trip but he quit at the tree line
because with no shade it was too hot and dusty so he
only did 8 miles of the 12 miles --- a young lady,
itials JG, did the entire 12 miles -- three other
young ladies and four gentlemen also did the entire 12 miles
with 1800 ft. elevation. )

A preliminary note
This hike was on the PCT
and there were lots of
thru hikers who had
started in Mexico --

Most were well equiped
For example, this fellow
had solar cells to charge
his phone and head lamp

This fellow was
60 years old
He was from Breaverton
He started in Mexico
in April
His dream for this day,
"a ceramic seat at
Timberline lodge"

Then there were hikers
like these two

They are not thru hikers
They were just out for a
few days,
Clearly they had
too much stuff
to hike the PCT
