At the trailhead, Terry, our leader, reviews her map
This is where we hiked
At the trailhead our leader Terry assembles the group and explains where we are going
The trail was very nice with only gradual elevation changes
Stopping to look at the view
There was smoke in the air from the fire in Estacada, but on the way out we could see Mt. Hood
There was smoke, but we could still see a long way
We could see Shellrock Mountain
This rock is about ready to fall
We had lunch at a delightful spot
It is such a delightful spot, Joan is sad that it is time to start back
Finally we are back at the trail head and Terry checks her GPS to see how far we hiked.
We did see one flower along the way
Rosy Gilia
(Gilia sinuata)
