Russian Tea Balls

First: Mix Thoroughly (electric beater is best)

1 Cup of soft butter
1/2 Cup of Confectioner's' sugar
1 tsp of vanilla

Second: Sift together and stir in to the above

2 1/4 cups of sifted Gold Medal Flour
optional 1/4 tsp salt

Third: Mix into the above

2/4 cup of finely chopped nuts (Filberts or Walnuts are preferred
1/2 Cup of Confectioner's' sugar

Procedure

Chill the above dough
Roll into 1 inch balls
Place on a ungreased baking sheet (balls do not spread)
Bake until set - but not brown --

Bake time 10 to 20 minutes
Temperature 400 degrees - moderately hot

While still warm- roll in confectioner's' sugar
Cool
Roll in sugar again
