Pioneer Violet
Viola glabella

Aslo called Stream Violet, Wood Violet

The Pioneer Violet has erect stems that are leafless except on the upper one-third of the stem.
The leaves and stems are smooth, but sometimes the leaves are minutely hairy.
The basal leaves are broadly heart-shaped with rounded teeth on the leaf edges.
The base of the leaf blade is notched and the tip is pointed.
