Neottia is a genus of orchids. This medium-sized orchid can be easily overlooked even though it is one of our commonest species
The name twayblades refers to the single pair of opposite leaves at the base of the flowering stem.
They produce flowers in shades of green or dull pink through to maroon and purple.
