Yarrow

Aslo Called: Common yarrow, Milfoil, Western yarrow
Scientific Name: Achillea millefolium

Seen on hike to Hart's Cove on the cost 8/13/13

Two very similar flowers are "Yarrow" and "Pearly Everlasting".

The difference is that Yarrow has fern like leaves and Pearly Everlasting does not.

In antiquity, yarrow was known as herbal militaris, for its use in stanching the flow of blood from wounds
