A. xanthodermus would have an unpleasant chemical-like odor.
If you rub the cap it typically turns yellow. Base of stem stains yellow.
A. sylvicola would have a pleasant, sweet, mild, almond odor
and would be more likely found in a forest, rather than a yard.
