top and kind of wine colored stipe.
Xerocomellus atropurpureus (B. zelleri ) is below,
showing the bald, dark purple, almost black cap, and reddish stipe
(Noah Siegel says that Xerocomellus atropurpureus is the most common
species of a group that look similar to former Boletus zelleri)
