Do these pictures provide
enough information to identify this mushroom
That we found today 9/8/16
as an Agaricus

1) It appears to have dark spores - from deposit on ring
2) It has a pronounced ring
3) The gills are free
4) the stipe breaks cleanly from the cap
Is that enough to say this is an Agaricus

--- Scroll down for more pictures

The gills are free

There is a ring with a dark spore deposit

The stipe breaks from the cap

Other mushroom we found today

Some nice white chanterelles

Same Mushrooms - different Camera -- the above pictures are more true to color
this is an example of why one need be careful about color in pictures

There were lots, lots, lots and lots of these
Strobilurus trullisatus
It would be nice to find Chanterelles is such profusion

Back to my question
