Clitocybe

Don suggested Clitocybe
and when I posted it on MO, someone named it Clitocybe

I posted on what-is-this-Mushroom and asked
Is this: Cuphophyllus pratensis - Camarophyllus pratensis - Waxy Cap
or maybe even
Craterellus tubaeformis - Yellow foot - Winter Chanterelle

Found on Larch Mt. in a Conifer forest mainly Hemlock
Cap does not look waxy to me, but then ....

The gills are too crowded and the stature not stocky enough for Cuphophyllus
(it might be Camarophyllus now? Formerly Hygrocybe) praetensis.
That mushroom is also more beige.

It's not Craterellus because of the straight,
clearly defined, sharp, white gills,
(instead of golden pseudo gills),
lack of depression on the cap and wrong color.
What it is though, I'm not sure.

The spores are white

The spores are ellipticle
4 by 6 microns
