Clitocybe Odora

Found 10/03/14 on a trail along Dickey Creek

Edible, but taste is very strong --
Best if used as a flavoring agent






The cap was gray (or gray blue) and convex

Smells like anise




It was growing in a ring about 30 feet around




The gills are adnate or adnexted




The stem is fibrous




The spores are white




The edge of the cap is inrolled




There is a small bulb at the botton of the stipe
