A sad day and the end of era

Joan bought this antique Lincoln rocker in Maine
as we were returning from our honeymoon in Canada.
Thus, we have had this rocker for over 56 years
and it was an antique when we bought it.

In 1961, I took a course
and I manually replaced the canning.
What happened to this wonderful rocker is explained below

SAD    SAD    SAD

Our living room has been rearanged and
there was no longer room for this old friend
We tried to sell this chair on Craig's List,
but we received no offers.
Thus, only the Salvation Army was willing to take
our old friend and find a resting place for it.

It hurts when no one wants our "valuable" stuff.
But I guess that is the way of life
Old and out.
