The best place to find mushrooms is where there are few mushroom hunters
So ... we took a canoe trip to an island in the Multnomah Channel.
Not many people would paddle five miles in a canoe to find mushrooms
It was a successful trip.
We did not find any Morels, but we found a good place to hunt for them .

There was a dock on the Island, but they were expecting bigger boats. It was a bit of a problem, getting out of the canoe.
We made it back, but no mushrooms for dinner tonight
