On Tuesday September 8 our planned hike was canceled due to wild fires, so some of us went to the coast and did a six mile hike that included climbing to the top of Cape Falcon and hiking in to Devils Cauldron.

The prior night there had been a fierce wind storm
and there were lots of downed trees blocking the trail
that we had to climb over
























The goods fortune is that there were bunches
of huckleberries that we could snack on




The view from the top of Cape Falcon was magnificent








Likewise the view into Devil's Cauldron was spectacular
