1) Drive to Cascade Locks of I84 and then cross Bridge of the Gods
2) Turn right at exit of Bridge of Gods and drive for 5.8 miles on Hwy 14
3) After mile post 47, turn left on Wind River Road toward Carson
4) Drive 8.7 miles through Carson to Hemlock Road (town of Stapler)
5) Turn left on Hemlock Road and drive 1.2 miles (Just beyond Forest Work Center)
6) Turn right on FR43 (sign says Canopy Crane)
7) Drive 1.2 miles on FR43
--- You will pass intersection of FR417 (trail will cross FR417) - stay on FR43
8) Park where PCT crosses FR43 -- there is a bridge on your left -
9) Park and follow PCT EAST -- that is, do not cross the bridge
