Duane Jointed our
Wednesday "Undaunted Saunterers" group
for a seven and a half mile hike up to Burnt Lake
We climbed over 1500 feet during this hike

Average age for the group
(not counting Duane) 68 years old
At 82, I was the oldest,
the youngest (not counting Duane) was 62.

Duane didn't fall behind but he had to hustle.

Directions to the trailhead

1) Take Hwy 26 through Sandy
2) Drive 17 miles passed Sandy to mile post 42
3) about .4 miles passed mile past 42 and just before the Ranger Station
       Turn left onto Lolo Pass Road
4) Drive 4.1 miles on Lolo Pass Rd to Rorest Road 1825
5) Turn right onto Forest Road 1825 (locally known as Muddy Creek Road)
6) Drive 0.6 miles on Rd 1825 to a bridge -- turn right and cross the bridge
7) Drive 1.6 miles to a fork (this is also the way to Ramona Falls)
8) Take the righthand fork and drive 0.2 miles to a sign that says - "Lost Creek".
9) Stay to the left - there is a sign to Burnt Lake Trailhead
10) Drive 1.3 miles on this gravel road to the trailhead .
A recreation Pass is required.
