Observation Peak Six mile hike
Tuesday August 16, 2016

Six mile, 1400 feet up, through a nice forest to a viewpoint where one can see Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, & Mt. Adams.

The trail is in the shade of big trees for the entire length except at the top. There were loads of huckelberries and flowers along the trail. At the top there are open views. One could see four mountains and many valleys.

While hornets were sighted at the trail head late last week, there was no sign of them during the hike.
