A little bit of rain did not deter this bunch of hardy hikers
A five mile hike along Trapper Creek
Them lunch in a Mineral Springs Cabin
--- The weather didn't cooperate,
but, the Hike was wonderful nevertheless ---
The group arrives and Mel greets us at the trailhead.
This is the trail we followed
We had a very civilized lunch spot, thanks to the "Civilian Conservation Corps" and
Stan who was our gracious host for lunch.
We even celebrated the birthday of one of the hikers.
Directions to the Mineral Springs Camp Ground
1) Take I-84 to Cascade Locks and Cross the Bridge of the Gods
2) Turn Right on Hwy 14
3) Go 5.9 miles on Hwy 14 and then Left toward Carson on Hwy 30.
4) Go 14.3 miles on Hwy 30 to the Fish Hatchery.
5) After the fish Hatchery where the Hwy turn curves right - DO NOT CURVE RIGHT.
6) Proceed straight ahead onto Mineral Springs Road for 0.4 miles.
7) Turn right onto gravel road 5401 and proceed 0.4 miles to the trailhead parking lot.
