This is the trail we hiked

A sign indicating that there were safety concerns did not deter this hardy group

At the trailhead the group gets ready to hike.

Who is this person that is always running around
- often in circles -

Normally, I like to show pictures of people before I show pictures of views that we saw, but here the waterfalls were so spectacular that I am going to show you some pictures of the waterfalls we saw before more pictures of the people on the hike.

Not far from the trailhead we saw Taitnapum Falls through the trees. This gave a hint of what we were going to see.

Next we came to the Upper Falls

On the way between the upper and lower falls, we came by this pretty little falls, We crossed above it on a bridge.

Then we came to the lower falls

We saw two people (not from our group) standing on a rock.

We were concerned that they may have been stranded and that they needed some help.

Thanks to a Zoom lens we could determine that they did not need our help

Some more pictures of the lower falls

Some of the more daring members of our group trying to get closer to the falls

The water is very powerful and dangerous

some views of the top of the falls

Now some pictures of people

The trail between the falls was quite nice

There were nice lookout points

We passed some gigantic old growth trees

Some members of the group took some more adventurous side trails

We had lunch by the river

Some member of the group choose to eat on the steps going down to the river

Joe enjoying lunch

Here is someone doing some deep thinking

Of course, Lu is always smiling

Where is Viki going

I guess she was going to give Joan a hug

A new person joined our group
-- We hope to see him again

Trying to take pictures is a thankless task

This is the type of reaction I often receive when I try to get a nice picture of someone

I was just trying to get this type of picture

Here is where we hiked

Directions to the Trailhead: 1) Take I-5 north to Exit 21 "Woodland"
2) Take Hwy 503 toward "Cougar"
3) Stay on 503 (and Spur 503) passed Cougar
