A Five mile hike

A wonderful hike, the weather was cool and crisp
It was telling us that summer is coming to an end.

This is the trail we hiked

At the trailhead the hike co-leader, Liz, gave the group instructions

The trail up was very nice, but a bit steep

We met a friend hiking with her dog

We had lunch at the top

Views from the top were Fantastic
We could see Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, and Mt. Hood.

On the way back we stopped to eat dessert of huckleberries

It was a great hike

Directions
1) Take I84 to Cascade Locks
2) Cross the Bridge of the Gods
3) Turn right onto hwy 14 and drive 14.6 miles
4) Turn left on Cook-Underwood Road - sign says Willard
5) Drive 5 miles on Cook-Underwood Road
6) Turn left on Willard Rd (Willard Road becomes Oklahoma)
7) Drive 2 miles on Willard and cross a bridge.
8) Turn left on NF 66 (also called S. Praire Rd) -- sign says Trout Lake.
9) Drive 12 miles on NF66 to the trailhead (last half mile is gravel)

10) Distance 150 miles
