Owl used to attract the hawks.
Owls hunt hawk nests at night.
Hawks attack owls in the day
It was hazy but we could see Mt Adams from the viewpoint
We cold see Mt. Hood even though it was hazy
It was hazy, but we could see the Columbia River
group arrives at the trailhead
This fellow came on the trip
We saw this berry
Sharon says:
that is a cluster of berries on a common northwest shrub, the Blue Elderberry.
There is also a similar Red Elderberry, (red berries instead of blue)
usually seen on the coast or in the coastal range.
